23rd OLAF Anti-Fraud Communicators’ Network – OAFCN meeting, 29 November 2013, Brussels

In journalistic  and european institutional communication, there is  growing need to further explore new synergies and sharing experiences among professionals in the world of information.
This is the aim of the new the  “European Association of workers in the press office and to the areas of communication of the European Union and national institutions ” , based in Rome and Brussels.
Very important professionals and experts in the world of information and communication at national and european level  joined  the association,  which will be a non-partisan, non-political and non -profit think tank on institutional communication and information.

Main  objectives  of the association, according  to  european spirit of its founding members, are:

• the promotion of communication and information;
• the collaboration among members in order to fulfill the institutional tasks also through the sharing of each other’s experience;
• the promotion of training and awareness-raising on issues related to institutional communication and  national and european information ;
• the search for every possible co-operation with national and european institutions as part of the activity of the association.

In order to achieve these  objectives , the EAPO & IC promotes and manages cultural and professional exchanges between citizens , organizations, public and private institutions.

At the top of the Association there are  personalities from the journalistic national and international panorama: the Chairman,  Gino Falleri (Vice President of the Order of  Journalist of Lazio and National Chairman of GUS –  Press Office journalists association ) , the  Deputy Chairman Gen. CC. ( res.) Dr.  Carlo Felice Corsetti (formerly Head of Press Office of the Carabinieri and currently  Adviser of National Order of Journalists and Adviser of the Roman office of  GUS ) and Vice President Gen.B. (res.)  G. di F. Dr.  Alessandro Butticè (Head of Information Activities of the Directorate General for Industry and Entrepreneurship of European Commission , creator and animator , from 2000 to 2009 of  OLAF Anti-Fraud Communicators Network , and one of the promoters in the second half of the 80s , of  the first communication strategy and the first institutional campaign ( “Guardia di Finanza , to the side of the honest”) of the Italian Financial Police.
