European Commission – Press release Brussels, 1 August 2018 The European Commission has endorsed under EU State aid rules German plans to reduce renewable energy surcharges for electricity users producing their own electricity using highly efficient cogeneration plants. This will promote energy-efficient cogeneration without unduly distorting competition.
